Impact

The leadership and determination of our nonprofit partners in serving the community is what has inspired thousands of former interns across the country to pursue opportunities with nonprofit organizations.

At the same time, the ambitious college students who complete these internships bring fresh perspectives and vital support to our participating agencies. Without these amazing organizations and individuals, we could never make this profound impact.

“After graduating, I immediately went into non-profit work as a Development Assistant for Junior Achievement of Dallas. From there I moved to working with the American Cancer Society's largest fundraising event, the Cattle Baron's Ball. I am now an Event Coordinator for the University of Texas at Dallas and I do not think I would be in this position without the CSJP. My role at Juliette Fowler Communities allowed me to explore many different areas of the non-profit world to determine where my interests and skills intercepted. It gave me database experience which I have carried with me to every position I have held since. It made me much more prepared for my first 'real world' job out of college and several of my potential employers have pointed out the program as something that stood out on my application. I would highly recommend the program to any college student who is interested in professional development.

“We cannot thank the ExxonMobil Foundation enough for affording us an opportunity this summer to hire an outstanding intern. We were so impressed with our intern from last summer that we hired her for full time employment. We would love to hire this year's intern once she graduates as well.”

“I graduated in June of 2019 with a Bachelors of Journalism in Strategic Communication after completing my CSJP internship and gaining another internship the following summer with Southwest Airlines in their community engagement department. I am now the Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Camp Summit, a non-profit for kids and adults with special needs. The experience I gained and connections I made through CSJP led to the confidence and knowledge needed to land my dream job with Camp Summit! I am so happy to continue my passion for philanthropy in this role.”
